Corfu
In search of Corfu's soul
The Brief
Two longstanding clients and frequent travellers to Europe and the Greek islands, asked Nomads Secrets to organise a week-long holiday in Corfu as the crowning glory after a month-long exploration of the Mediterranean basin.
Their wish: to rediscover the state of mind and place that lured the many notable figures, who made Kerkyra (Corfu in Greek) their playground, for a time in their lives.
We created a bespoke 7-day adventure that showcased the island's beauty, colours, aromas and flavours through the locations where Winston Churchill painted, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt dined, James Bond swam, Prince Philip was born, and Henry Miller found inspiration.
Our duo stayed on the very grounds where Aristotle and Jaquie Onassis’ mansion once stood, from where they sailed to writer’s Gerald Durrell’s former home for lunch and relaxed in the olive grove where Anthony Quinn found solace after filming the legendary movie “Zorba the Greek”.
